Is a transformational step

But only a step

Toward what is more true

 

Eventually the movement runs its course

Or brings itself to its own end—to another step

That we would one day see

From our height

Or depth

Christ alone is true

 

As we are being ruthlessly brought to such a place

May we find rest in knowing this:

He carved out our path in its entirety

He is with us every step, and

It’s leading us somewhere good
